FAQs

  • What is a tincture?
    • A tincture is a concentrated liquid extract made by soaking herbs, plants, or other organic materials (like mushrooms) in a solvent, most commonly high-proof alcohol. It is designed to extract the plant's active constituents for medicinal or therapeutic use.
  • Why are your tinctures not made with alcohol?
    • We chose to go with vegetable glycerin over alcohol. This is called a glycerite. This means they are not bitter, do not have a burning sensation, or potential to cause stomach upset, which is common with alcohol based tinctures. They have a sweet, pleasant, herbal tea flavor, and are gentle on the stomach. This also means they are safe for children, with parent/guardian supervision.

  • How do I take your tincture?
    • They are meant to be absorbed sublingually, which means under the tongue. You should hold the correct dosage under your tongue for 15-20 seconds, then swallow.

  • I don't like the taste. How else can I take them?
    • You can mix the drops in a drink of your choice. This will require it to be digested before it begins to work, which may slow relief.

  • Why is your dosing instructions only for adults?
    • Our tinctures were created with adults in mind, so the dosages on the bottles is the adult recommended dose.

  • Will a tincture cure me?
    • Our tinctures are meant to aid in symptoms, not to be a cure.
